This particular plant below is escaping me. It grew by Heart Pond.

The plant below is Butterfly Weed/Pleurisy Root. Your best friend for respiratory issues, the root is dug in the fall. I do believe it is in the Milkweed family, which means it is one of the flowers the monarch butterfly loves.
This below is Goldenrod emerging. I took it after a crazy thunderstorm up on the prairie ridge behind the greenhouses at the Sanctuary, or Cedar Hill/Cellphone Rock. The plants up there are always a little ahead, these were some of the first goldenrod to bloom. It really felt like fall was coming when I saw this..
