Another Splatter Painting

This is another splatter style mixed media painting i did in college, around the same time as the 'Blue Star Universe'. In fact, I may have been doing them simultaneously. I went back and forth between splattering (paint and water on brush flicking at different strengths, heights, distances) and intentional dots to create a chaos/order mix i was happy with. I like the wax texture. I think i painted the blue part first, and then tried wax on it and then paint, wax, paint wax. I was experimenting to see what it would look like.

This seems to be another universe-like manifestation.

I've always liked the designs insects make in old wood.
